This dynamic and engaging course is specially designed for children studying in Standards IV to VI. Aimed at nurturing creativity and building foundational skills in the visual arts, the course introduces young learners to a wide array of techniques and mediums in a playful yet structured environment.

Schedule: Classes are conducted twice a week, with each session lasting 2 hours — a total of 4 hours per week. The course runs through the academic year, aligning with school calendars.

What Children Will Learn:

Through guided exploration and hands-on activities, students will work with a diverse range of mediums and techniques, including:

  • Drawing and Painting: Learning line, form, composition, colour, and perspective

  • Mask-making and Paper Sculpture: Developing imaginative forms in three dimensions

  • Clay Modelling: Understanding form, texture, and volume using natural materials

  • Tie and Dye: Introduction to textile design through traditional resist dyeing techniques

  • Printmaking: Exploring simple relief and stencil printing techniques

Each module is designed to encourage curiosity, improve motor skills, and develop the child’s own unique visual language.

Learning Environment:

The course takes place in a vibrant and well-equipped setting, which includes:

  • Three spacious, naturally lit classrooms

  • Ample open outdoor areas for free expression and nature-based activities

  • A dedicated sculpture-making zone that allows children to work on larger collaborative or individual projects

About the Tutors:

The course is led by Raka Panda, an experienced art educator with a deep understanding of child psychology and over a five years of experience in teaching young learners. Along with other experienced art practitioners, the team brings a playful, empathetic, and skill-based approach to art education, ensuring that each child receives individual attention and encouragement.
